Persico – Prototipi d’autore

"Signature prototypes"

Persico is a leader in producing moulds and systems for creating numerous design products, achieved over the years in collaboration with the most important Italian and international names, from Alessandro Mendini and Stefano Giovannoni, to Fabio Novembre and Ron Arad. There is a selection of prototypes inside the house waiting to be discovered, created by curator Giacinto Di Pietrantonio, such as the Nemo Armchair by Novembre, the Rabbit Chair by Giovannoni and the Holly All by Starck. From the cloister to the rooms a close and intense dialogue is instilled between past and present in the belief that the quality of Italian manufacturing, rooted deeply in history, imagines and achieves the future.

Biography

Founded as a company for making wooden models in 1976, Persico of Nembro (BG) today is a leading multinational company that manufactures moulds and automation systems for the automotive and industrial sectors, as well as world leader in producing racing and non-racing sailing yachts for regattas and leisure.

Since its founding, the Persico group has grown, employing new technologies, an innovative spirit, and a deep-rooted work commitment. To consolidate its link with art, Pierino Persico presented a place dedicated to Art on the 40th anniversary of its founding: PersicoArt. An open area for meeting, listening and debating, a “covered square” for communicating one’s identification and cultural heritage intended as a heritage of places, people and work.
