Matteo Bazzicalupo (Parma) and Raffaella Mangiarotti (Genoa) graduated with honours in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1991. In 1995 they met in the editorial offices of “Modo”, a magazine founded by Alessandro Mendini. After several years of experience conducted individually, they founded the deepdesign studio which has developed product projects and evolutionary scenarios in different fields in these years of activity: from food packaging and consumer electronics, to furnishings and cosmetics.
Matteo and Raffaella have held various lectures at universities and design institutes throughout Italy. The Dandelion lamp is part of the Permanent Collection of Design and Architecture at the MoMA in New York.
